My Tomorrow, Your Yesterday by Jason Ayres
When 54 year old Thomas Scott wakes up in a hospital bed on January 1st 2025, he has no memory of who he is or why he is there. Racked with pain from the advanced stages of cancer, he swiftly succumbs to his illness. The next day he awakes to find himself still in hospital, still alive, and more than a little confused, especially when he discovers the date – December 31st 2024. Over the days that follow he comes to realise the extraordinary life he is leading. He is living his life backwards, one day at a time.

As his health improves he returns home with his daughter, Stacey, trying to piece together the details of his past life and navigate his way through it. Over time he discovers not only that his wife died in a road traffic accident seven years previously, but that Stacey too has suffered a traumatic event in her past. Finding out all he can about these events, Thomas is determined to change things and secure a happier future for his family, even if it is one he may never get to see.

From middle-aged father all the way back to childhood, the passing years present all manner of different challenges as he grows ever more youthful. Set in and around Oxford between the years of 1970 and 2025, this unique concept for a time travel novel features plenty of humour, nostalgia and "what if" moments.

Readers should note that the story takes place in the same universe as my “Time Bubble” young adult series. Intended for a more adult audience, this is a completely standalone novel which can be enjoyed without the need to have read those earlier stories.
