Tim would never know where the courage came from. But before he could stop himself, he heard himself start talking again. “No, don’t go. It’s okay. I appreciate what you said. I-I-I’ve never told anyone what I…well about that kind of stuff… and well it was just a surprise that’s all.”
Turning toward Tim again, Cade had a curious look on his face. “You haven’t told anyone? I kinda thought it was like coming out. Don’t you need someone to talk to? At least like other people who are into it too?”
Tim was so surprised by the analogy he didn’t even think before he responded, “I don’t have anyone who would understand. I don’t have anyone.”
He could not quite decipher the look on Cade’s face a combination of sorrow and something with little more heat to it. He didn’t want Cade to feel sorry for him. There was nothing wrong with being alone. Tim wasn’t sure how he felt about the look of heat on Cade’s face. It was probably nothing but for just a moment, he would swear he saw passion flash in his eyes. Did it turn him on? What part? Or was he reading into it too much?
“Well, now you have me.”
“I do?”
“Yeah. You do.”
