Q: How would you describe Purity?


DB: It's a realistic story about love and overcoming
obstacles, which is something that most people can relate to.


Q: Sexual purity is a theme that runs through a lot of your
books. Why is this?


DB: I want to encourage young adults who are struggling with
staying pure and holding on to their beliefs. You're not alone guys even if it
feels like it. Besides, I think being sexually pure gives a person incredible
sexual freedom after marriage. It's great.


Q: You deal with the issue of race in this book. Tell us a
little about that.


DB: Harper is biracial and she thinks being of different
races, among many other things, is what caused her parents' divorce. Caleb is
from a divorced home too so he wants someone that's compatible with him in
every way. He's white. I don't want to give too much away, but it's something
they both have to consider.


Q: Is this the final book in your pure passion series?


DB: No. I set out to write only three books in the series
but after writing this one more ideas started popping into my head. I have one
more books planned for this series. It should be out over the next few months.
