He discovers that veterans are being conned into enrolling in the same illegal drug study…and many are dying as a result. Jack is almost killed as he looks under the rocks of the political landscape, wondering just how widespread this conspiracy is. There are some turns in this story likely to shock some regular readers of Jack Bass books! Does Jack survive the lightning strikes from his black cloud this time?
