Mackenzie “Mac” Austin just wants what any modern, commitment-phobic woman in New York City wants: a no-strings-attached hookup steamy enough to brag about over brunch mimosas the next morning. Not on Mac’s list of wants is the bland, preppy, corporate dude currently her dating app is trying to match her with. Mac rejects the guy without a second thought, not realizing that the very same man is currently seated beside her. Whoops. And not only does Thomas Decker witness Mac’s rejection of him first hand—he calls her out on it.
But while Mac has every intention of putting the uncomfortable encounter behind her, fate has other ideas. First, Thomas pops back into her life again as her new boss. And then again as the brother of the groom at Mac’s best friend’s wedding.
With every encounter, she becomes more convinced that boring, uptight Thomas is the last man that a blue-haired, free-spirit like Mac should want. Only, the more time she spends with him, the more Mac realizes that the very man she can’t away from has become the same one she wants to keep close…
