Can you ever really escape your past?

Lawson Cooper–Jones has two priorities in life – his son, Ned, and the survival of his family dairy
farm. Despite the best efforts of the town matchmakers and the determined pursuit of a local girl
Adeline Walsh, Lawson's heart belongs still, and only, to his late wife.

Yet, when a flat tyre strands Lawson and Ned in a nearby ghost town, he's surprised to find a
woman living alone in the old general store. Ned immediately forms a bond with the beautiful
stranger, and Lawson is captivated by her too.

Although shy at first, as they get to know each other, Meg tells him she thinks she’s sharing her
home with a ghost, and, they agree to investigate the history of the old building together. Soon
their friendship has bloomed into something much more.

But when meddling Adeline makes it her mission to uncover the truth about the newcomer and
her real identity is revealed, Lawson and Meg's budding romance comes crashing down. Will he
ever be able to forgive her?
A moving story of secrets, love and new beginnings from bestselling Australian author Rachael
Johns.

About the Author:

Once upon a time (briefly) Rachael was an English teacher, then her dreams of becoming a novelist came true. Now she spends her days writing small-town, Aussie romance (think hot, sexy farmers) and feel-good women's fiction. The only TV show she watches is FARMER WANTS A WIFE and every year she says she'll read more non-fiction but fails because there are too many romance novels waiting to be devoured. Rachael lives in the Swan Valley, Western Australia (and no, she doesn't have a pet Kangaroo, but she has been bitten by a redback).

And in case you were still wondering:

Color most featured in my wardrobe – PINK of course!

What I’d like a never-ending box of – Raffaellos. It’s a sin that something that tastes so good and is so small has so many calories. Or a packet of Tim Tams (caramel ones, please).

Daily poison – Diet Coke (although it MUST be drunk in a glass. Yes, I’m a REAL lady)

Celebrity Crush – Australian weatherman Grant Denyer (well, he’s no longer a weatherman, but that’s when I fell in love). I’m also a little partial to Scott Eastwood and Liam Hemsworth.

Best thing about being a writer – You mean aside from the money and fame (LOL)?? The friends I’ve met and the fact I can wear my pjs to work.

Something I will never ever do – Ironing

Obsession – earrings! I follow a whole host of wonderful earring makers on Instagram and buy way more than I can ever wear (a bit like how I buy books really – way more than I can ever read).
