Daniel's Story: A Sweet Amish Romance Series

This first book features twenty-year-old Daniel, the second to the youngest child. Daniel was once a bubbly, outgoing teenager when a devastating barn fire started on the family farm six years ago. Daniel unwisely rushed into the flames to save the animals, and succeeded in getting them all out alive, but was horrifically burned in the process. Daniel feels he’ll never be accepted again because of his appearance. He works hard on the farm and brings in extra income as a horse trainer and avoids seeing anyone, only venturing off the farm to attend Sunday morning church services. His sisters handle the customers for him when they bring their horses to the farm for training.

The arrangement works well until an Amish man brings over his daughter’s buggy horse. The horse has always been good until both the horse and its owner, Betsy, were involved in an accident. Betsy has now fully recovered from the accident, but is fearful to handle the horse, as it misbehaves for her. Amy, his sister, talks him into working with both the horse and the girl.

As Daniel and Betsy work together, they slowly fall in love. But when a deeply humiliating circumstance arises, all confidence Daniel has built up is now eradicated. How will God intervene in this situation?
