When Sophie asks me for ‘lessons’ in the kind of things you don’t learn at school, of course I say no. If her dad finds out, I’ll be kicked off the team. He’ll probably display my crown jewels in the trophy cabinet as a warning to the others. I’ll lose the future I’ve spent a lifetime building.
