Taron by Ella Blake
Amelia Ward works security for an organization that matches women to Virilian males. While settling a newly selected woman on a transport shuttle destined for the planet Virilia, Amelia is knocked unconscious. She awakens in deep space, horrified to discover that she’s been switched with the other woman, who clearly was kidnapped. Even Amelia’s uniform is gone, replaced with the woman’s dress and necklace. The only other person on the ship is Taron, the gorgeous Virilian male piloting the shuttle, and he doesn’t believe one word of her story.

Semi-reformed rebel, Taron Bando, essentially operates a galactic taxi. He’s seen some major drama on the job, but none to rival Amelia’s insistence that she is actually a security guard who was switched with the woman he was supposed to transport. He thinks her act is an elaborate play at cold feet until his vessel is fired upon by an unmarked sniper ship. He and Amelia survive the attack, but are stranded on a jungle alien planet where he finds himself powerfully attracted to the beautiful, headstrong human.

As they work together to survive, and find a way off the planet, these two total opposites powerfully attract in ways they never expected. Friction turns to desires neither can deny. But will they—and their passion—survive the quest to find the woman who was kidnapped and the truth about Taron’s past?

This is book five of the Virilian Mail Order Mates series, but this story can be read alone with no cliffhangers and no cheating. I write what I love to read, so there is always consent and always a happy ending.
