Despite his aggravation, Daicon formulates a plan for all of us to escape the drudgery of the mines while stepping into the role of surrogate father for tiny beings starved for security and affection. I’m no longer worried about protecting the children with Daicon around. Now, my biggest worry is protecting my heart!
