Waiting for You by Lucy Hudson
Lincoln Seabrooke has been focused on one thing: work. His devotion to his career has been the only thing in his life worth pursuing since the woman of his dreams walked away from him eight years earlier. There's no one who could ever compare to her, so what's the point of dating?

Charlotte Waters’ world is falling apart. She’s suddenly a single mom to twin boys, in search of a new career to support her family, and barely holding it all together. When a dream job lands her in the city of her ex, she thinks little of it. Chicago is a city of three million. And didn't he move to California?

When fate crosses their paths again, it’s undeniable that the attraction is still there. But is the past too painful for them to find their way back to each other?

Waiting for You is the third book in the Falling for You series and follows Lincoln and Charlotte. It can be read as a standalone.

STEAM LEVEL: HOT

This is an explicit romance novella and not intended for audiences under 18.

“Pull over here,” she said, pointing to the corner.
“Which house is yours?” he asked.
“It’s in the middle of the block, but I wouldn’t have the guts to do this in front of the house.”
Lincoln turned to face her just as she was leaning forward. Charlotte kissed him. It was a soft, goodnight kiss, like the ones she’d given him a million times before as they laid in bed trying to fall asleep. She started to pull back, but Lincoln caught her chin and drew her back towards him. He nibbled her bottom lip, coaxing her lips apart, pleading for her to give him just a little bit more. He buried one hand in her hair, the other reaching for her waist.
She moaned softly in response, her body melting against him.
Lincoln was ecstatic. Now that he had her in his arms, he didn’t think he could let go. He wanted to get her clothes off and bury his face against her skin. He wanted to whisper that he loved her and never wanted to let her go again. He wanted so much more.
“Okay,” she pulled away, sitting back down. “Good night.” She grabbed her purse and dashed out of the car.
